Kit :  Heller
Comments:  Darryl says this model was a whole lot of work!  It started out as 6 peice 'click-clack' (snap-tight) model given to him as a kid.  It sat at the bottom of his toy box for years before being retrieved and properly modified into a 'real' model.  In order to do this required pain-staking work in the form of heavy modification and scratch-building.  The driver's interior and rear detail  was completely scratch-built.  All windows, gunner's hatch and mid-hatch were cut open.  Kit wheels were replaced with two rear sets from the Airfix bomb tractor.  Gunner's shield and hatch detail were scratched.   .50 cal. MG from Matchbox.  All markings added from spare parts box (except for chevrons which were hand painted).  There were alot of added extra details and stowage all over this vehicle.  This VAB depicts a combat ready vehicle finished in two-tone Gulf War French scheme.
